Job Description:

To support our growth and expand to new markets, we are looking for an experienced Executive in Business Development with passion for SOLAR ENERGY and experience in hunting, developing and closing new business opportunities in a multi-cultural environment.

Experience within the ENERGY, RENEWABLES or SOLAR SECTOR is necessary.

We are looking for a savvy and articulate person, that can produce pipelines, work independently, design competitive & creative business solutions, manage a team and represent our company value proposition at executive level. Proactivity and willing to improve are a must at ezzingSolar.

Main Goal:

  • Engage with new business opportunities in Spain where our company is Headquartered
  • Establish and manage a team of BDM’s in Europe
  • Propose, establish and implement accurate sales plans and business development strategies in Europe


  • Define strategic targets, identify and produce new business opportunities, deliver presentations of our solutions, contractual negotiation, close business deals at executive level and maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions & future trends
  • Establish a local team of potential Business Development Managers in Europe. Train and monitor the team accordingly to achieve the company goals
  • A key part of this job, is to develop robust and effective pipelines of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide and detailed insight of the company’s competitors
  • You will report directly to the CCO of the company and you will work closely with internal and international counterparts from business units such as; Marketing, Operations, Projects, Finance and IT, to achieve updated and competitive information
  • Approximately 30 to 50% travel

Main Duties:

  • Developing a network of leads and clients, create new opportunities
  • Negotiation of business deals & contracts with potential clients
  • Creating and delivering presentations and proposals to prospects & existing business partners
  • Develop a sales business plan and yearly forecast in the assigned region aligned with overall company goals and objectives, meet and exceed these targets
  • Support the CCO with Commercial Strategy, with a focus on how to increase the speed of opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Orchestrating, attending and overseeing tours and site visits at the client’s sites in various locations.
  • Representing the company in worldwide in events such as: Exhibitions, Trade Shows and Conferences
  • Continually seek opportunities to network with clients at external/industry forums
  • Hire, train, monitor and manage potential new BDM’s in Latam
  • Act as a role model to others BDM’s with your drive to source and convert leads into opportunities
  • Position yourself as a thought leader in the Distributed Generation sector, leveraging and creating content to engage a prospect
  • Working closely with internal & international counterparts of ezzingSolar

Your Skills:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in related positions
  • 5+ years of experience in the Energy, Renewables or Solar sector
  • Proven track record of closing B2B deals, especially with large corporations
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English, any other language will be an advantage

The position requires very strong interpersonal skills, passion for solar energy, digital products, entrepreneurial spirit, oral and written communication skills; analytical capabilities, leadership skills and the ability to manage and drive multiple projects.

Networking, persuasion, prospecting, public speaking, research, writing, closing skills, motivation for business development, prospecting skills, sales planning, identification of customer needs and challenges, territory management, meeting sales goals, professionalism, CRM and Microsoft Office.
